Seachtain na Gaeilge

Tá Seachtain na Gaeilge linn arís agus is dócha go bhfuil gach duine ag tnúth leis na heachtraí éagsulá atá eagraithe le haghaigh na scólairí go léir. Tá a lán comórtaisí ar siúl idir comortaisí focail, comórtaisí ealaín agus tráth na gceist le haghaidh ranganna a dó go dtí rang a sé. Tá súil againn go mbainfidh gach duine an-taitneamh as na heachtraí go léir.

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Seachtain na Gaeilge is with us again and no doubt all the pupils are looking forward to the various activities that are lined up for the coming days. We have many competitions organised ,from word competitions to art competitions. There will also be a table quiz for second to sixth class with lots of prizes to be won. We hope everyone enjoys the various Irish activities organised.

Music CD

Mrs O’Meara’s classroom was transformed into a recording studio just before the Mid-Term break when Kilruane NS recorded their very first music CD here at the school. The CD cover is being designed at the moment and the CD tracks are being re-mixed at Malbay Studios, Co.Clare. The CD will be ready for sale in the coming weeks. All profits will go towards Ronald McDonald House at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin. Ronald McDonald house provides accommodation and a caring supportive environment for families whose children are seriously ill or undergoing medical treatment at Crumlin. The Children, Staff and BOM are delighted to be in a position to support such a worthy cause. It is also an opportunity to showcase the very talented children we have at Kilruane NS.

We thank Katie O’Sullivan, our Music Teacher for her continued dedication to our school and local musician, John O’Brien who plays organ on the CD.
