Sports Day
A big thank you to all the parents, who turned out in such great numbers, to support our children for Sports Day 2016. Firm favourites once again this year, were the obstacle race and novelty races, with the ‘tug of war’ coming in a close second. We all enjoyed another fantastic day! A big thank you to Ms. Maguire, who co-ordinated the event at the school and to all the teachers who gave her a helping hand with organisational matters. Thank you also to our past pupils who helped out at the different stations when their assistance was needed.

Booklists
Booklists for the School Year 2016/2017 were issued from the office today. Please check your child’s schoolbag. Booklists are also available on the school website, www.kilruaneschool.com

Active Week
Active week was a great success and a lovely way to draw a close to the school year 2015-16! The children enjoyed parachute games, rounders, basketball, yard games, our annual Sports Day on Wednesday and yoga with Siobhán O Leary on Thursday. Thank you Siobhán for coming on board once again this year! We completed our 10k walk on Friday, with Ms. Ryan’s class completing the final leg of the walk. On behalf of the Parents Council, we thank you for sponsoring the children. The Parents Council use these funds to pay for ‘added extras’ for our children, such as the Tennis Lessons, recently enjoyed by all classes and other treats for the children throughout the school year.

It is always with a hint of sadness that we say goodbye to our Sixth class pupils every year. We say a fond farewell to Adam, Alana, Méibh, Megan, Ava, Lynn, James, Aoibhín, Amy, Sinéad, George, Kate, Abby, Conor, Séan, Cian .We are so proud of you and we wish you all the very best of luck in your future studies, at your chosen schools.
