A big thank you to “Ardcroney Woodcarvers”, Johnny Peters, Johnny Spain, Phillys Reddan and Andy Whealan for coming to our school today to share their talents with us and to display their wonderful pieces of Bog Oak.The children heard all about how Bog oak is formed in our boglands, how it is harvested and the woodcarvers also demonstrated the techniques they use to transform the raw wood into the pieces of Art displayed in these photos. Thank you to Mrs. Peters and Mrs. O Meara for organising this event, as we continue on our journey to secure our fifth green flag.
