Christmas Concerts
Christmas Concerts at Kilruane N.S.
Kilruane National School hold our Christmas concerts every two years. It is by far the highlight of our school year and a firm favourite with parents and our local community.
Since the addition of our extension in 2011, we are now in a position to hold our Christmas concert in our School Hall, which can comfortably seat 100 people, with standing room for even more!
The preparations begin in November, when the children start working on their Christmas artwork (which is exhibited in the School hall and reception area throughout the concert period), parts are given out, lines are learned and Christmas is already in the air!
The excitement really takes off when Denis builds our stage in early December and then practices truly begin in earnest!
Last Christmas Concert (2013), we staged five different productions, each with a Christmas theme and an original musical score!
Mrs. O’Meara’s Class: Cá Bhfuil Rudolph?
- Ms. Ryan’s Class: Whoops A Daisy Angel.
- Ms. Lawlors Class: Born in a Barn.
- Mrs. Kennedy’s Class: The Nativity.
- Ms. Kirby’s Class: The Magical Christmas Jigsaw.
We were delighted with the feedback from all the parents, grandparents, extended family, friends and neighbours who came in it seemed in their hundreds to Kilruane N.S. to attend our concerts and to admire our Christmas Art Exhibition!
We look forward to Christmas 2016 already!
