Parents Council Kilruane School – School Library / Toy Collection
Sunday, Oct 12

Dear Parents,

The teachers in our school are very interested in creating a school library and have asked us for help. Obviously this would be of huge benefit to our children – enabling them a greater selection of books to read both in school and to bring home to read with us! In order to do this, we would ask you to send into school any children’s books that you do not need, and may be taking up space at home.

Please ensure that they are of good condition – all pages are intact – including front & back covers.

We would hope to collect enough books to start off our school library and then to keep adding to our library through different collections and hopefully running a book fair later on in the year.

As you know Kilruane N.S. has introduced the Aistear curriculum in the Infant and First Classes. To support this great initiative we are asking all parents to have a look around at home for any age-appropriate toys that could be donated to the school.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

All items can be dropped into the school please.

Any surplus toys will be donated to charity.

Regards

Parents Council
