Clan Cluana

Clan Cluana Travelling Theatre Company will pay their annual visit to our school this Thursday. This year’s production is “ Oisín in Tír na nÓg”. The company always put on a fantastic show and it is thoroughly enjoyed  by all our children. We ask for a small contribution of €2 per child to go towards the cost of hiring the company. The BOM will subsidise the remaining cost from monies raised from fundraising this year.

Parent/Teacher Meetings

Parent Teacher Meetings will be held before the Mid-term break. Your child’s class teacher will provide you with a slip detailing your child’s time/date.

Swimming

We are delighted to resume our swimming lessons at Nenagh Pool this year and you will be receiving your letter tomorrow detailing swimming lessons for First to Sixth Classes.

In the past, the school has taken Junior and Senior Infant classes to swimming lessons at the pool. However the staff together with the Board of Management have carefully re-examined the logistics of taking large numbers of small children to the pool and a decision has now been made to offer lessons to First to Sixth classes only. A slip will be attached to tomorrow’s pool information letter. Please ensure that you return your child’s slip from their swimming letter so that we can reserve a place for him/her at the lessons.

Credit Union Quiz

The senior classes have been brushing up on their general knowledge and preparing for the upcoming annual Credit Union Table Quiz since before Christmas. Congratulations to the children who were successful in securing a place on the Quiz teams. We wish our two teams the very best of luck on Friday next.

U11 Team – Alana Correia, Ava Duff, Jack Moyles, Conor Tierney

U-13 Team – Libhín Finn, Ian Kenneally, Amy Maher, James Tanner

Handball

Rory Grace travelled to Ballinahinch on Saturday last to represent our school at the North Tipp Schools Handball finals. Rory won his first match with ease but was narrowly defeated in the semi-final. Hard luck Rory.
